Service — Technology consultingDecide before you buy

Technology consulting from people who build

Decide what technology your company needs —and what it doesn't— with the people who can then build it. A one- or two-week diagnosis, a plan ranked by return and, if you want it, technical leadership while it's carried out.

Terms

Timing
Diagnosis in one or two weeks. Ongoing support after that, month by month.
Price
Fixed before we start and stated in the first conversation. Never open-ended hours.
Commitment
None. The plan is yours, to carry out with whoever you choose.
Book the diagnosis

Almost no company arrives without technology. It arrives with too much, spread badly: five subscriptions that don't talk to each other, a system only one person knows how to use, data copied by hand from one place to another and two AI pilots nobody has measured. The problem isn't the tools. It's that nobody has decided how they fit together.

Consulting that only hands over a report leaves the job half done, and consulting that only recommends what it sells isn't worth trusting either. We diagnose knowing how to build —design, software and AI— which is why the plan also says what you don't need to buy.

Who it's for

  • Companies of ten to two hundred people that have outgrown their tools.
  • Leadership teams that have to make AI decisions and don't want to make them blind, or out of fear.
  • Teams running an ERP, a CRM and spreadsheets that don't share data.
  • Companies selling into Europe that need to meet the accessibility rules and the AI Act.

What's included

Diagnosis

A map of how work gets done today. Processes, systems and data: where the time goes, what gets done twice by hand and which information never reaches the person who needs it.

Architecture

What to buy, what to integrate, what to build. With the cost of each option alongside. If an off-the-shelf tool solves the problem, we say so, even if we don't make it.

Artificial intelligence

Where it helps and where it doesn't. Which tasks a model can do, how reliably, what each one costs, and what the EU AI Act requires of the company using it.

Risk and compliance

The things with deadlines. Security, data protection, accessibility under the European Accessibility Act —in force since June 2025— and AI Act transparency, which applies since August 2026.

Technical leadership

Someone technical on your side. After the diagnosis, if you want it: reviewing vendor quotes, writing requirements, following delivery and saying no when something doesn't fit. Monthly, no lock-in.

What you get

  • A report you can read without being technical: what's there, what's missing and what's surplus.
  • A phased plan, ranked by return, with the estimated effort and cost of each phase.
  • The list of what you don't need to buy — usually the most appreciated part.
  • A session to walk through it and decide together what goes in and what doesn't.

What people ask us

What does a technology consultancy do for a small or mid-sized company?
It puts decisions in order. It looks at how work gets done, which tools exist and which data is used, and returns a plan: what to change first, what can stay as it is and what each step costs. Unlike a technical audit, it doesn't stop at the systems: it gets all the way to the business decision.
How is this different from a large consultancy?
There are no layers. The people who diagnose are the people who know how to build what they recommend, and the build is done by the same team. That makes the plan more realistic —it never recommends what can't be done— and cheaper to carry out, because nothing gets lost between the people who think and the people who make.
Do we have to hire you to carry it out?
No. The plan is yours and it's written so your own team or another vendor can execute it. A diagnosis that only works if its author carries it out isn't a diagnosis: it's a quote in disguise.
Can you act as a fractional CTO?
Yes. That's the ongoing support: a monthly fee with hours included to review vendor proposals, prepare what needs to be contracted and follow delivery. No lock-in: cancel with thirty days' notice.
How much does the diagnosis cost?
It has a fixed price, stated in the first conversation once we know the size of the company and what needs looking at. It's never billed by open-ended hours: if it takes longer, that's on us.

How it's bought

Every service follows the same path: a short diagnosis, the build with weekly deliveries and, if you want it, ongoing maintenance.
